Extension

Well i thought i had an assignment due monday and i was working my butt off to get it done, now we have an extension. I have lost all motivation....urrmm yeah. I wish they had of told us like a week ago before i stayed up until the ungodly hours doing large chunk of it, particularly the pathophysiology of diffuse axonal injury. Hard. Interesting. But hard. Now i have another week, i should be happy and i am but now all my motivation is gone.

Raspberry Watermelon flavoured icypole

Its so cold here, yet i am eating an icypole. Call me crazy. I am supposed to be doing a case study..but im not, i was going to spend all day doing it, but the hospital called me at 6am for a 7am start, funsies. If i dont get this damn case study done soon there is no way i will get it done.I hate you uni.

Work

Last thursday i had my first shift in the hospital, in a 23 hr ward, on saturday i had my first shift on an actual ward, orthopaedic rehabilitation, it was great, everything just clicked. I always doubt my nursing abilities and probably will for awhile but i have loads to learn. On saturday at the end of the shift i said thanks to the RN who was the team leader, i said thanks for helping me with my first shift she said "wow this was your first shift, it didnt show, you did great and helped out all over the ward not just with your patients" i was so happy. Much more credit than i ever got working in the nursing home. On sunday the same nurse was telling other nurses about me and asked if i'd ever worked anywhere nursing before, i said i worked at a nursing home for 5 months and she said it shows you are great. I am so proud, she said if i ever needed a reference she would be happy to write one.

Taking web design more seriously?

I am contemplating it. I put together several forums and compiled a few blogs. I am pretty good at HTML coding, but have never coded a site from scratch. Wondering if i can. I can put together the basics for a site design but i usually use a template.

Thinking i might take it step by step and learn to compile a blog from scratch using my own html. Even if i use a pre-exsisting code to copy of to start with. For now i will only be able to do free sites as i can not afford to produce web pages.

My fathers business has a web page and he has hinted that he will let me code that.

I would love to be able to get paid for my services someday.
